Oasis

With a design goal to transform an empty backyard into a poolside oasis, this project included creation of a pool, spa, cabana, pizza oven, built in grill area, and a full live-in pool house structure complete with kitchen, bedroom suite with private balcony, a lower level lounge, and an exercise room area. The living room was designed to completely open up with bi-fold doors to the pool area, thereby extending the living space into the outdoor pool area.

One with Nature.

Connection to landscape was a main driving force of this project, and was enabled by bleeding the built space into the forest edge. Pushing the structure as close as possible to the wooded side of the property was intentional in this respect. To follow this concept, the bedroom balcony cantilevers into the trees. The pool design includes a completely flush border with the surrounding pool deck surface with a custom designed slot drain, and the pool extends the visual connection to the wooded backdrop with an infinity edge detail.
